Complete Guide to Broadcasts

Broadcasts let you send messages to multiple contacts at once. Perfect for promotions, announcements, reminders, and more.

What is a Broadcast?

A broadcast allows you to send the same message to multiple contacts at once. Unlike group messages, broadcasts are delivered as individual messages to each recipientโ€”they won't see other recipients.

๐ŸŽฏ Use Cases for Broadcasts

  • โ€ขProduct launches and promotions
  • โ€ขEvent invitations and reminders
  • โ€ขOrder status updates
  • โ€ขAppointment reminders
  • โ€ขNewsletter campaigns
  • โ€ขSeasonal greetings

Creating a Broadcast

Step 1: Navigate to Broadcasts

In your Zaple dashboard, click on Broadcasts in the sidebar, then click Create Broadcast.

Step 2: Choose Your Template

Select an approved template for your broadcast. WhatsApp requires all broadcast messages to use pre-approved templates. You can:

  • Use an existing approved template
  • Create a new template (requires Meta approval)
  • Filter templates by category or status

Step 3: Select Your Audience

Choose who will receive your broadcast:

  • All Contacts: Send to your entire contact list
  • Specific Lists: Select one or more contact lists
  • Filtered Contacts: Use attributes to filter contacts
  • Upload CSV: Import a new list just for this broadcast

Step 4: Personalize Variables

If your template includes variables (like {{name}} or {{order_id}}), you'll see a preview of how they'll be filled from your contact data.

๐Ÿ’ก Tip: Make sure your contact list has the required attribute data for all variables in your template.

Step 5: Schedule or Send

Choose when to send your broadcast:

  • Send Now: Broadcast starts immediately
  • Schedule: Pick a specific date and time
  • Repeat: Set up recurring broadcasts

Template Categories

WhatsApp templates fall into three categories with different pricing:

๐Ÿ“ข Marketing Templates

Promotions, offers, product launches. Highest cost.

๐Ÿ”ง Utility Templates

Order updates, reminders, confirmations. Medium cost.

๐Ÿ” Authentication Templates

OTPs and verification codes. Lowest cost.
